My Vow To Keep It Human (thoughts about the new AI features)

My vow to keep it human.

I’m realizing this morning as I lounge in a pile of legos with my two boys; we are not only unconsciously comparing ourselves to each other’s curated portrayal of our lives through the internet, but now we are literally competing with robots. In a world where fast doesn’t seem to get us there anymore - we are buckling up with tech to do the creative work for us.

More is more is not enough somehow, that robots are being placed accordingly in our businesses, our communities, our families, our human lives to figure it all out for us.

Instead of listening to the signals of modern day burn out, slowing down and letting life be gradual,

Easing up,

Resting for the sake of rest.

We are utilizing the power of tech which needs no rest to feel “into it”,

No sun and fresh air to inspire thoughts,

No flow to ebb with,

No body to feel through,

No grace at all.

Now this is coming from a new mom of two who is open to all the support she can get. If AI can make scheduling posts easier, planning my grocery list or laying out a plan for xyz so that I can be present with my babies and not have unnecessary thoughts in the moments - yes, I accept.

But the idea of this modern automation replacing our innate ability to be creative,

To source beauty and inspiration,

Discover resonance and connection as humans,

Or give us yet another reason to feel like we should be doing more to get to where we’re going,

I’m not here for it.

We are creation embodied.

Born with a desire, a need rather, to make, to source, to create.

What could happen if we give this universal gift away?

If we surrender that breakthrough that births the thing that’s been on the tip of the tongue?

The one that only comes when it’s been simmering out of our very souls for longer than it took to actually create.

We lose the feeling that follows it.

What happens if we let the bots write our books, tell our stories? Does our pride for doing the thing go away with it?

What happens when we don’t do scary things, put the word out, share the idea, step up and put ourselves out there because we’ve given our power away?

I think it’s safe to say that stagnancy wins,

And our potential for growth, well, loses.

In true Kineo fashion - utilizing self care tools for modern day survival - to let a soulless entity share the words meant to spark resonance with you,

to remind you that you are not alone, the way you are, every step of the way is so very on purpose.

Instead of letting ChatGPT do your true creative work so you can do your dishes and keep a tidier house…what if you let your mess stay and rest anyway?

What if you let it take a whole day to write your blog post in broken moments of time like this one did? And trust that the flow of your natural life is so very purposeful and so very intentional, that you transcend any further speed you may be able to produce and find yourself living an embodied and joyful life anyways?

Despite the rate our world is moving around us.

In honor of slow living,

Of returning to self,

Of moving at the speed of our true cyclical rhythm,

I vow to keep it human over here.

To write my own books.

And I invite those that are also apprehensive to not only ask yourself the deeper inquires around your goals with embracing this new way, but in all realms of your life.

Returning to intention,

Returning to rest,

Returning to Self.

And utilizing tech to encourage rest, rather than keeping up with the impossible.

Please share your thoughts if you have any!

Do you plan on utilizing AI’s strengths? We’d love to hear how, why and all the things.

Don’t forget the magic in the fact that you get to be you.

xx, R
